Today was the big kick off for an even I’ve been waiting for for a couple weeks now.

This big event is a 30 day event that is all about setting up an online business and making your first 10 dollars by day 30. This is an entirely free program and you don’t need to spend a dime during any of the lessons or steps in setting up your business.

The official challenge will start on Aug. 1st, 2008. Right now they have just started what is being called the “Pre-Season”. This is a series of lessons to get you ready for the 30 days of the challenge. The goal here is to get the students, thats me, familiar with the different software programs and such that are going to be used during the official 30 days.

Todays lesson involved switching internet browsers to Flock. I have to say I’ve heard of Flock before, just never had the nerve to take the plunge and break up with Firefox. I’m now an official convert and I love it. Flock is a browser that is based on the same engine as Firefox, it is just set up better for people involved in social networking and is really set up well for a blogger in mind. In fact, this post I am writing right now is being written in Flocks Blog Editor.

My name is Kevin and I am a paramedic in North Carolina. There are many reasons that I started this blog, mostly as a way to network and reach out to other bloggers and people with similar interests. I am also taking this opportunity to learn more about blogging, networking, SEO, and all the other aspects of ProBlogging. A couple of my role models include Darren Rowse of Problogger.net and Yaro Starak of Entrepreneurs-Journey.com. These men are genius’s when it comes to blogging and there is much to learn from their blogs.

I’m also the founder and co-author of XtremeDIY.net. It is a blog dedicated to providing how-to and DIY information about just about everything. Some topics include Going Green, Computer Maintenance and Repair, and Item Reclamation and Modification. That being said I’m kind of tucked in on a certain niche with that blog and felt it necessary to start a blog for everything else I want to write about that doesn’t fit into that criteria.
